Model Download
There are two methods to download models: in-app download or via cloud storage. Cloud storage download is primarily for users who cannot complete in-app downloads due to network limitations.
In-App Download
On the in-app download interface:
- Click the download button next to a model to initiate the download.
- A progress bar will appear. Once it reaches 100%, the model archive will begin extracting.
- After approximately 10 seconds, the download will be complete.
Download via Cloud Storage
For cases where in-app downloads fail (e.g., slow speeds, interruptions):
- Download the model archive from the cloud storage link below and save it locally.
- In the app, click Select Local Archive and choose the downloaded model archive.

Important Notes:
- Do not rename, unpack, or repackage the archive. DuRT validates the archive name and checksum.
- If validation fails, the archive cannot be imported.
- After successful validation, DuRT will extract the archive automatically (takes a few seconds).
- The model status will update to "Downloaded" once complete.
Model Description
Whisper models are categorized by size: tiny, small, base, medium, turbo, and large.
-q8indicates a quantized version, which slightly reduces precision but lowers memory usage.- Larger models generally perform better but require 1.5–2.5x their size in memory during operation.
