1.1 Permission Usage​

To enable speech recognition functionality, DuRT requires the following permissions:

  • Screen Recording Permission: Used to convert device audio into text in real-time.
  • Microphone Permission: Used to convert microphone audio into text in real-time.

1.2 Information Collection, Use, and Storage​

DuRT follows privacy-by-design principles to ensure user data security. The specifics are as follows:

  1. Local Speech Recognition DuRT offers two local speech recognition options based on large models that do not require an internet connection. These methods do not collect, store, or upload user audio data or any other private information.

  2. Apple Speech Recognition Service If users choose to use Apple's speech recognition service, the app may upload audio data (e.g., device audio or microphone audio) to Apple's servers for processing via encrypted transmission. Please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy for more details.

  3. Non-Audio Data Handling Apart from the aforementioned audio data, DuRT does not collect, store, or use any other user data, including but not limited to:

  • Video data
  • Device information
  • User activity logs

2. Information Security​

DuRT does not store any user data, eliminating risks related to data storage. We ensure information security through the following measures:

  • Most speech recognition tasks are processed locally to avoid data leakage.
  • Audio data transmitted over the network (only for Apple services) is encrypted to ensure security.

You can use this application with confidence, as your privacy is our top priority.
