These Terms of Use ("Terms" or "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DuDuFuture regarding your download, installation, subscription, and use of DuRT ("the Application" or "the Software").

By downloading, installing, subscribing to, or using DuRT, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Application.

1. License Grant & Scope

DuDuFuture grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable limited license to install and run DuRT on compatible Apple-branded devices that you own or control. This license is subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

2. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Certain premium features of DuRT (such as advanced workflow pipelines and exclusive AI toolchains) require an active subscription or in-app purchase via the Mac App Store.

• Billing & Cycles: We offer auto-renewable subscription plans (e.g., monthly, annual). Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Managing & Canceling Subscriptions: You can manage, modify, or cancel your subscription at any time by navigating to your Mac's System Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions (or directly within the App Store account settings).
• Refunds & Billing Issues: All financial transactions and refunds are processed exclusively by Apple. To request a refund, please visit Apple's official refund portal at reportaproblem.apple.com.

3. AI Disclaimer & Recognition Accuracy

• Recognition Accuracy: Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) performance may vary based on background noise, speaker accent, speech rate, microphone quality, and audio compression. DuRT is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranty of 100% transcription accuracy.
• Large Language Model (LLM) Output: When using third-party LLMs for proofreading, sentence splitting, multilingual translation, or summary generation, output is generated computationally by the respective model. AI outputs may contain hallucinations, grammatical errors, or factual inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated subtitles and text before reliance.
• No Consequential Liability: DuDuFuture shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damages arising from inaccuracies or omissions in AI-generated content.

4. Recording Consent & Legal Compliance

• Consent Laws: In many jurisdictions, recording private conversations, business meetings, or third parties without explicit consent from all or some participants is restricted or illegal.
• User Sole Responsibility: When using DuRT for audio capture (including system loopback audio and microphone recording), you represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents and authorizations required by applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You assume full legal responsibility for your recording practices.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use DuRT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Application;
• Infringe upon copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or privacy rights of any third party;
• Transcribe, process, or disseminate unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or harmful content.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DuDuFuture be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data loss, business interruption, or system failure) arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use DuRT.

7. Modifications & Termination

• Amendments: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of DuRT following changes signifies your acceptance.
• Termination: Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any provision of these Terms.
